What Is a Professional Science Master’s?
The professional science Master's degree, or PSM, is a new degree in science and mathematics that prepares a student for a profession outside of academia. The degree offers a blend of science or mathematics with professional skill sets needed by industry.

Characteristics of a Professional Science Master’s Degree included:
· 50% of courses are graduate-level science and mathematics.
· Programs are interdisciplinary, with electives from ancillary disciplines that provide professional skills. These skills might include informatics, communications, marketing, finance, management, law, regulatory affairs, and ethics.
· Provide interactions and experience with industry, including final projects, thesis, or case studies relating to real-world problems and internships.
Who should apply to these programs?
Students can fit into several categories:

· Bachelor's degree holder in science or mathematics and has a desire to work outside of the traditional academic setting after graduate training.
· Professionals holding a bachelor’s degree currently in the industry seeking graduate training for potential advancement.
